Welcome and FAQ

Welcome to Amethystinus Aether!  
This a starter blog for HeartOfAmethyst or as many call me, Ame.  I'm aiming to get into video blogging, but right now I want to work the kinks out for filming and editing, so I will be slowly transitioning to vlogging by doing a writing blog.  Here you will find art updates, reviews of TV, books and movies, convention wrap-ups, spotify playlists and general life stuff.  This blog is going to be a bit of everything, but below I've included a tentative publishing schedule so you can see the kinds of things I'll be blogging about frequently.

FAQ:

Can you review (product x)?
Sure!  I'm not the most up-to-date on newer products so if you see something new you'd like to me to review (recent film in theaters, anime, books, make-up) just leave a comment!  I may not be able to review everyone's request but if multiple requests for specific things are made, then I am more likely to review them.

Why do you just review OUAT?
Once Upon a Time is probably the most influential TV show that has come into my life as of late.  I didn't start watching it until December of 2015, but it's gotten me to make a lot of positive changes in my life and given me hope that the future is going to be brighter.  I don't actually watch much TV, due to my work schedule (I even stopped watching Big Bang Theory, which was my favorite for years).  However, I do sometimes pick up shows from Netflix to watch when I need something new, especially in the off-season (summer/winter).  Plus, it's season 6 of Once; it's not going to be on forever so this is likely not going to be a long-term schedule :)

Why so many themes for your blog?
If you can believe it, I spend most of my time doing science, so outside of science I like to consume many types of things from traveling to reading, to film and art.  If I just condensed the blog to one topic, it would end up being science and I do plenty of science writing at work.  That doesn't mean I won't post about science in here, because I love it so much.  I just really like to keep a broad life going.  I hope that you can find at least one thing in this blog that you like reading about!
